What is a U-Belong Partner?
A U-Belong Partner provides active and ongoing support to promote the U-Belong Campaign widely through multiple channels. As a U-Belong Partner, you will receive:
Ø Access to the U-Belong Toolkit to support the students you work with.
Ø A practice-based report to inform your approach to supporting students with a whole university approach.
Ø The opportunity to contribute to our research outputs.
Who is best suited to becoming a U-Belong Partner?
Ø A strategic lead responsible for understanding and promoting belonging at a UK university.
Ø A manager of a support service, academic department, Student Union, or hall of residence at a UK university.
Ø An organisation or service that promotes resources to support student belonging.
Ø Academic staff with a research interest in belonging.
What will I get?
Ø You will receive a comprehensive U-Belong campaign promotion pack containing:
o A short campaign brief suitable to include in student or staff mailing lists or newsletters.
o Graphics, template posts, and a video suitable for sharing on Instagram, Twitter/ X and LinkedIn.
o A poster suitable to share digitally or in any physical student spaces and a PowerPoint TV screen graphic suitable for displaying on TV notice screens.
Ø You will receive regular updates and support from the U-Belong team to promote the U-Belong campaign and obtain data to support your work (such as prevalence and trends around loneliness and belonging).
What can I do?
Ø Publicise the U-Belong Campaign around the university campus and on social media (where appropriate) using the U-Belong resource pack.
Ø Refer three staff members beyond your department who can help publicise the campaign.
Ø Add a U-Belong graphic to your email signature.
Ø Speak about the U-Belong Campaign during induction programme/s.
